Tea bags
Full Description
Known as the champagne of teas, Darjeeling tea is famous for its clear taste and crystal-clear sweetness, thanks to the steady rainfall, light soil, and cool air at the foothills of the Himalayas. The English established the first tea plantations in Darjeeling in the 1840s using seeds smuggled from China, and some of the original Chinese Jat bushes are still cultivated today.
This Second Flush Darjeeling tea, harvested between May and June, reflects the warmth of late spring and reveals developed fruity notes in the cup. Tea experts often mention the muscat wine quality of a good Second Flush, and it is true that this special Darjeeling tea indeed conveys that delicious sweet wine sweetness. Much lighter than most black teas, Darjeeling yields the best result when lightly brewed and drunk without milk; you will find it extremely refreshing at any time of the day.
