Pastry:
4 – 4.5 cups | Fame |
1 sachet | Dough Baking Powder |
1 teaspoon | ginger |
1 teaspoon | cinnamon powder |
150g | butter at room temperature |
1 | egg |
1 cup | Brown sugar |
250 g | honey |
1 sachet | Sugared vanilla |
To decorate:
4-5 drops | Gel Colorant – Red |
1 package | Ornamental Glaze |
Preparation of
Preliminary
Lay baking paper on the baking tray. Set the oven to the specified temperature and turn it on beforehand to warm up.
Top-bottom cooking: 170 °C
Turbo cooking: 160 °C
Preparation of the Dough
Mix together the flour, baking powder, ginger and cinnamon. Take the butter, eggs, brown sugar and honey in a separate whisk and beat with a mixer for 2 minutes. Add the vanilla sugar and beat for a while. Add the flour mixture you prepared on it and knead it with your hands. Roll out half of the dough on a floured counter or on baking paper to a thickness of 1 cm. Cut with a child-shaped cookie cutter of approximately 9×15 cm and arrange on the baking tray. Bend one arm of some of the children's shapes you prepared inward and put folded aluminum foil or baking paper between them. Take it in the oven and bake.
Cooking time: Approx. 8 – 10 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool.
Decoration and Service
Open the sugar paste bag, take half of it and knead it in your hand to soften it. Wrap the remaining sugar dough airtight and lift it up. Make 0.5 cm diameter and 5 cm long strips from the softened sugar dough. Apply red gel colorant on half of these strips with the help of a brush. When the colorant dries, take a red and a white strip side by side, wrap them together slightly lengthening and curl one edge like a cane. Prepare the remaining strips in the same way. Decorate the cooled cookies with decoration glazes by making eyebrows, eyes and buttons. Place the prepared canes between the folded arms and serve.
