Materials:
For the cake
5 eggs,
1.5 cups sugar,
1.5 cups flour,
2 packets of sugar vanillin,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
1 pinch of salt,
1 teaspoon of butter to grease the baking dish.
For the syrup;
3 cups of milk,
2 packets (400 ml) cream,
1 cup of milk powder.
For the caramel;
5 tablespoons sugar (brown sugar if possible),
1 tablespoon of butter,
1 packet (200 ml) cream,
1/2 cup milk.
Preparation of:
Separate the egg whites and yolks (not even 1 drop of yolk should get into the whites),
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are like snow,
Add sugar and whisk for another 5 minutes,
Whisk the yolks in a separate bowl,
Gradually add the yolks to the whites and continue whisking,
Gradually add the flour, baking powder and vanillin and mix with a spatula until smooth (without deflating the foam),
Grease an 8-9 cm deep baking dish with a diameter of 22*22 cm,
Pour the cake mixture into the tray,
Bake at 160 degrees in a preheated oven until a toothpick comes out clean (if the cake smears dough on the toothpick when you insert and remove the toothpick, it is not cooked yet),
After the cake has cooled, whisk the milk and milk powder for the syrup in a deep bowl until frothy,
Add the cream and whisk for 2 more minutes,
Pour the syrup (do not cook) over the cake,
After the cake has completely absorbed the syrup, skim off the foam with your hands,
For the caramel, put the butter and sugar in a large pan and put it on the smallest burner of the stove,
Without stirring, wait until the sugar dissolves into a brown liquid,
Gradually add the cream and milk and whisk the caramel quickly (the sugar may solidify at this stage, it will melt as it cooks),
Stir and cook until you get a dark caramel consistency,
Pour the caramel over the cake that has absorbed the syrup,
Refrigerate for 2 hours and serve.
