Lentil Fava Recipe


Materials:


  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • For the top
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts


Preparation of:


  1. Set the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Cook unpeeled garlic for about 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the insides by gently squeezing the shells.
  4. Boil the lentils with water over medium heat and remove from the stove when the water evaporates.
  5. Make it smooth by passing it through the blender.
  6. Add garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, cumin and chili pepper and mix.
  7. Transfer it to a serving bowl and cover it with olive oil to prevent it from drying out.
  8. Sprinkle peanuts on top and serve.
